Description: Port of Iskenderun is situated on the northeast of the Mediterranean Sea. It serves the southeast and East Anatolian regions as well as transit traffic to the Middle East countries.

Pilotage: By the Port Administration, compulsory

3 tugs of 1200 HP, 200 HP and tugs of 270 HP

Equipment: The handling equipment at the port includes 21 shore and yard cranes of 3 to 25 tons capacity, 11 mobile cranes of 3 to 25 tons capacity, 12 crawler cranes, 2 container forklifts of 10 to 42 tons capacity, 35 general cargo forklifts of 2 to 5 tons capacity, 4 tugmasters, 7 tractors, 3 loaders, 8 trailers of 20 tons capacity, 6 trailers of 40 tons capacity, 2 pneumatics of 50 tons/hour capacity.

Floating: The floating craft at the port comprise a floating crane of 90 tons capacity, 6 t-tugboats, 2 pilot boats, 2 mooring boats, 2 service boats, water bargers.

Storage: open area: 374.630 m2, covered area: 18.395 m2 and a silo of 60.000 tons.

Container: Container Facilities of Iskenderun Port:
Fixed shore crane 25 tons capacity, 2 container forklifts of 10 and 42 tons capacity.
Reefer points for refrigerated containers are available.

Cargo: General Cargo Facilities:
4 berths (total quay length= 693 m, alongside depth= 10 m); Berths are well equipped with modern handling facilities.)
Bulk Cargo Facilities:
The length of the berth serving the dry bulk traffic is 734 m (alongside depth= 10 – 11,5 m).
1 silo (total capacity 60.000 tons) are connected by a conveyor system (1. Choice: Conveyor capacity 60 tons/hour, 2. Choice: Conveyor capacity: 300 tons/hour) with the quay.
A conveyor system is also available for ore loading. The capacity is 250 tons/hour.
The berths 7 and 10 are designed for Ro-Ro vessels…
